Preliminary Task
Here is our preliminary task we created as a group. For this we used the 180 degree rule. This is the rule where two characters should always have the same left and right relationship to eachother. There is a line between the two characters and if it is crossed the rule is broken. We followed this rule effectively as we didn't cross the 180 degree line once. We followed this rule effectively as we focused on the rule fully during filming so we could get the footage correctly.
I think the characters are placed appropriately within the frame as their faces are clear and their heads fit the frame fully without anything being cut off. However, although this was followed well there are some faults with our continuity. As the character walks through the door there is a phone in her pocket, as she walks out at the end the phone isn't there. This is due to problems during filming where the phone kept falling out of the pocket - this is when we decided to remove the phone which then affected our continuity. As this is only a minor problem and hardly noticeable, it hasn't affected our task completely.
Another problem with this task, is that the white balance is incorrect. This has made our footage have a yellow tone over the top. We also filmed some of the shots out of focus. As we have noticed this, we have learnt how to improve and how to fix these problems when it comes to the main task of creating our credit sequence.
