Synopsis: First Draft

The film opens with a credit sequence of a couple; Gemma Walker and Jack Stewart arriving at a house party. Jack unexpectedly sees his neighbour Sophie in the corner of the room whom he assumed would not be invited due to her lack of popularity in comparison with him and the rest of the party guests. Sophie Jones approaches Jack offering him a drink which he accepts. The scene cuts to a handheld shot from Jacks view showing a jumpy distorted view showing he has been drugged. Jack sits bolt upright early in the morning lying next to Gemma’s dead body, he begins to panic thinking he has murdered her as her.

The film then cuts to the first day back at school, people have heard of Gemma’s death but are unaware of how it happened.  Jack is sitting alone on a bench when his ex-girlfriend Lucy White approaches him to comfort him. Lucy and Jack begin seeing each other again until after a week passes he receives a text from Lucy explaining how she can’t see him any longer as she doesn’t have feelings for him anymore and doesn’t want to see him.  Jack notices her disappearance at school until a week later she is declared dead, murdered in her home. The police call him in to be interviewed under suspicion of murder. Jack begins to distance himself from his friends as he fears they may be suspicious of Lucys murder. Jack begins to become better friends with Sophie, who warns him of how people think he did it.

Sophie tells jack that the police are after him and their only option is to run away together, Jack accepts this due to fear. Whilst waiting in her room he notices Lucy’s bracelet that he bought her underneath her bed covered in blood. As he feels around under the bed he finds pictures of both Gemma and sophie with their faces scribbled out along with various items belonging to Jack and psychotic scribbled notes saying ‘only I can have him’  when Sophie returns to discover that Jack has figured out that she is the murderer. Jack attacks Sophie as she attempts to kill him screaming that if she can’t have him know one can, Jack stabs Sophie with a pair of scissors resulting in her death. Sophie’s mother runs in and screams. Jack is immediately arrested for the murder of sophie Jones, Gemma Walker and Lucy White.
